Job description:
-The job holder will be responsible for sampling, checking and testing the quality of all raw materials delivered to BUL Factory and ensure material which meet the agreed specifications are released on time for use by Manufacturing department.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure that all incoming RM materials are sampled as per the Standard AQL.
- To ensure that all incoming RM are analyzed as per the procedure following the Unilever Method of Analysis (UMA)
- To ensure that physical appearance of all incoming RM is checked and verified as per the RM Reference Standard.
- To ensure that all incoming RM are supplied with Certificates of Analysis (COA) from suppliers.
- To ensure that all quality conforming RM are released in the SAP system on time.
- To ensure that all non-conforming RM are informed to RM Planner including full details of materials (e.g Supplier name, Type of defect, Quantity received, quantity affected, batch number, etc).
- To ensure that all rejected RM are blocked physically as well as in the SAP system.
- To ensure that all tested incoming RM are kept in Product Library Room for 1 year as reference for any future RM related issues.
- To create correct inspection lot in QM of SAP for any new raw material or update of specifications.
- To update and maintain raw material reference standard in QA laboratory on time.
- To ensure that all RM related issues and SNCR are recorded in the Quality Daily Operational Record on daily basis.
- To ensure that all CAPAs shared by supplier are inputted in RM Issue Tracker to monitor the effectiveness of the actions.
- To assist in identifying and investigation for any RM related losses in the factory.
- To raise SNCR timely in SAP and properly inform the respective departments (Production, IL, Procurement) and supplier about the non-conforming RM.
- To ensure that all non-conforming incoming materials are blocked physically and in system.
- To maintain and ensure all RM related documents are retrievable.
- To ensure that all Certificate of Analysis (COA) submitted by suppliers are filed, retrievable and well maintained.
- To communicate with RM suppliers when resolving RM quality issues.
- To support Product Development (R&D) in preparation of specifications for new and updating existing RM specifications when required.
- To support Product Development (R&D) validating test methods for new RM components when required.
- To attend trials that are related to Raw Materials.
- To audit the RM WH and Pre-weighing Areas that all raw materials are handled and stored as recommended during and until used.
- To ensure that near-to-expire RM are managed thru SOP for RM Expiry Management
- To ensure that all SOP, UMA and OPL posted in QC Lab, Pre-weighing and Warehouse Areas are updated.
- To maintain and update Material Safety Data Sheets of all raw material use in the factory
- To maintain a high standard of hygiene, 5S and housekeeping in the QC Laboratory.
- To maintain highest quality standards, ensure safe working practice and care for environment through total compliance with the guidelines and targets set in Health, Safety & Environment, Quality and Consumer Safety, WCM and Customer Service of BUL.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry , Biochemistry or Pharmacy with minimum 1 year experience preferably 2 in Quality department in the industrial field , and also worked on laboratories analysis.
