Job Description:

- Provide a sustainable base for other cultural relations activities.
We currently have two main examination centres (Cairo & Alexandria) delivering around 130,000 exams to approximately 60,000 candidates annually all over Egypt, with School Exams IELTS & Aptis as the predominant product lines. We work with over 120 international schools on related UK qualifications. We also partner with a growing number of Egyptian universities on English language assessment.
Our Teaching Centres in Agouza, Heliopolis and Alexandria (with branches in Nasr City and Sheikh Zayed) continue to expand in both General English (Adults and YLs) and Corporate Services. Classes are offered over 7 days with approximately 5,000 adults and 3,500 young learners per term.
Egypt plays a major role in the British Council’s ELT work across the whole Arabic-speaking region. There are excellent opportunities for further development in various directions. The centres run CELTA, distance DELTA, YL courses, and various management and general training courses. Sponsorship is available on most courses for suitable candidates. For more experienced teachers there is a supported environment to enter into a Management Development Pathways programme or gain teacher training experience.
The post holder will work closely with the Business Development team for IELTS and Schools Exams.The post holder is required to work off-site. Travel may also be required occasionally. Training may take place in the evening and at weekends.

- To support the adoption and take-up of UK Qualifications and improve educational outcomes for Egyptians.
- To develop the IELTS value-add services across English & Exams
- To promote and provide quality training and effective learning for participants in private companies, Universities, schools, government ministries and for colleagues internally in the British Council
